Spyre’s Moray House project on the New Farm reach of the Brisbane River is already redefining the city’s prestige property market as construction begins on what will be a new luxury residential landmark for Queensland.
The six-residence, seven-level development offers Brisbane River views framed by the Story Bridge.
Residents will also have direct access to the Brisbane Riverwalk.
Not only has Moray House set a record for off-the-plan sales for luxury residences, it will also set a benchmark for innovation with two residences featuring sky garages.
Owners will be able to drive in off the street, enter a remote-control operated car lift and park their cars directly in their residences.
Spyre managing director Daniel Laruccia said Moray House would be a flagship among elite residences in Brisbane, showcasing a harmonious blend of opulence, scenic beauty and groundbreaking innovation.
“This project will elevate the standard for luxury living in Brisbane,’’ he said.
Moray House broke the record for Brisbane’s most-expensive apartment sale, when its two-level 800sq m penthouse sold off-the-plan for $15.75m in January.
In May, Moray House again tested Brisbane property records when its most accessible residence, lot 4, sold for $9m.
The result was equivalent to $34,749 per square metre, just below the $34,870sq m rate Spyre achieved in March with the $13.6m sale of the penthouse of its luxury Toowong development, Arc, a record square metre rate for Brisbane.
Spyre director Andrew Malouf said the sale was a major vote of confidence in southeast Queensland’s high-end property market and a vindication of Spyre’s commitment to elevating luxury living in Brisbane. Other residences are expected to sell for more than $10m.
The design blends luxury, tranquillity and innovation.
Described as “akin to living in a treehouse’’ – inside the development will include rich finishes of chambord stone, European oak herringbone flooring and bespoke timber joinery.
Outside, full-floor-length garden beds decorate the exterior.
Residences two and three feature the sky garages and entry to the apartments will be through a glass-walled gymnasium.
“The sky garage will appeal to luxury vehicle enthusiasts who want privacy as well as the additional security of garaging their car in their apartment rather than using regular basement parking,’’ Mr Malouf said.
He said every touchpoint was of the highest quality including chef-grade kitchens adorned with Wolf appliances.
“Each apartment can be individually curated for the new owners with custom components that allow their homes to truly classify as ‘one of one’,” Mr Malouf said.
“These include a lap pool, sky garages, wellness rooms and personalised gyms.”
Windows are strategically placed to spare residents from sun glare and onlookers.
With demolition underway on the site at Moray St, Spyre has appointed Contrast Constructions as builder with the project expected to take about 14 months to complete.
Residences range in size from 324sq m to the 800sq m penthouse.
There is also a limited opportunity to amalgamate residences one and two to form the ultimate river home.
